I spent Halloween in town at my daughter’s home. Granddaughter Gretchen and I sat outside as it was a nice evening to greet the kids in their costumes and give them some treats. My favorite was the inflated penquin. Inside was Tripp Bayne, son of Kasey Bayne.
More than 60 years ago, our senior class patrolled the town to keep vandalism down. Back then, tires were rolled out in the street from Oyer’s Service Station, business windows were soaped, objects were moved around, and toilet paper was used to decorate trees. By the way, Mr. and Mrs. Oyer are still living and probably remember those Halloweens.
