CITY OF KINGMAN – GROUND HAND – KINGMAN, KANSAS
The City of Kingman is accepting applications for a Ground Hand with the Electric Utility. The Ground Hand is responsible for learning the appropriate use of hand and power tools, construction materials, and safety aspects of the job. The Ground Hand assists the Department’s line crew in the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground circuits. The Ground Hand also assists in the maintenance of substations and associated equipment.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma (or GED) and a Kansas Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), or the ability to obtain one. Applicants should be able to lift approximately 50 pounds. The City will provide in-house training.
