It is that time of year again – already.
South Central High School will be hosting its annual Fall Football Homecoming on Friday, Sept. 11. The parade will begin at 3:30 p.m. and follow the same route as last year and will end at the football field for the community pep rally.
The pep rally should start around 4 p.m. at the football field. If you enter the parade, please be south of the swimming pool by 3:15 p.m. If not, please sit in the stands and enjoy as the parade makes the lap around the track and cheer on the homecoming candidates and the football team.
The sophomore class will have concessions for the football homecoming.
The homecoming crowning will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the football field. Candidates are Remi Martin, daughter of Rustin Martin and Lindsey Martin, Ellie Murphy, daughter of Joe and Hilary Murphy, Piper Price, daughter of Tyler Price and Morgan Price, Breckyn Synder, daughter of Tray and Kayla Synder, Eli Girk, son of Slade and Susie Girk, Easton Huck, son of Nathan and Leasa Huck, Coda Lindsay, son of Kris and Nicky Lindsay and Jack Willems, son of Cale and Rachel Willems.
If you want to participate in the parade, please email Nicky Lindsay at lindsayn@usd300ks.com or Abigail Robles at roblesa@usd300ks.com with what you will be doing for the parade so you will be eligible for judging.
The categories for judging are most spirited individual and group and most creative individual and group. There will be prizes for each category.
Homecoming themes for the week are as follows: Monday (Labor Day, so no school), Tuesday is Celebrity Day; Wednesday is USA Day; Thursday is Decades Day; and Friday is T-Wolf Day.
The SCHS Homecoming bonfire will be held at the high school beginning right after the game for the high school students. STUCO has planned some fun activities for the students so we encourage your high school students to come and hang out.
Enjoy some football, good food and the accomplishments of the student-athletes.
