ORDINANCE NO. 207
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF WAKITA, OKLAHOMA, AMENDING PUBLIC UTILITIES CHAPTER 15, ARTICLES 1-3, SETTING NEW RATES, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF WAKITA, OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 15, Article 1, Section 15-5 WATER RATES is hereby amended to read as follows:
Within Town Boundaries:
$25.00 1st 1,000 gallons
$ 10.00 Each additional 1,000 gallons
$ 10.00 Surcharge
Outside Town Boundaries:
$28.00 1st 1,000 gallons
SECTION 2. That Chapter 15, Article 2, Section 15-30, and Section 15-31 SEWER RATES is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 15-30 Fee for connection to Sanitary Sewer System
$300.00
Section 15-31 Sewer Rate
$25.00 per sewer outlet
SECTION 3. That Chapter 15, Article 3, Section 15-40 TRASH RATES is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 15-40 Trash Rate
$15.00 Residential
Business rates as set by Town’s designated collector.
SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective with the Utility billing for August 2026.
PASSED AND APPROVED and the Emergency Clause vote upon separately And passed and approved this 8th of July 2026.
