ORDINANCE NO. G-453
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO AND FIXING THE CHARGES TO BE PAID TO THE CITY OF HARPER FOR WATER SERVICE AND SEWER FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, AMENDING SECTION 48-158(A)(4) AND SECTION 48-418(3), OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF HARPER, KANSAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF HARPER, KANSAS:
Section 1. Section 48-158(a)(4) of the City Code of the City of Harper shall be amended as follows:
Sec. 48-158. Rates for Water Service.
a) Charges for water consumed and delivered from the municipal waterworks system and distribution system shall be as follows:
4) Recreation vehicle (RV). The term “recreation vehicle” means any vehicle or a unit that may be independently motorized or may be mounted on or drawn by another vehicle, which is primarily designed and used for travel, camping, recreation, temporary living or occasional use. Manufactured home districts providing service for recreation vehicles, as defined herein, shall be charged as follows:
a. Meter Fee. The monthly meter fee shall be calculated by multiplying the fee established in subsection (a)(2)(a) by the applicable American Water Works Association (AWWA) meter equivalency factor based on 3/4 that is corresponding to the size of the meter serving the RV park.
b. Usage Fee: All water consumption shall be billed at the rate established in subsection (a)(1)(b).
Section 2. Section 48-418 Subsection (3) of the City Code of the City of Harper shall be amended as follows:
Sec. 48-418. Sewage Service Charges.
3) Recreation Vehicles: Any vehicle or unit that may be independently motorized or may be mounted on or drawn by another vehicle, which is primarily designed and used for travel, camping, recreation, temporary living or occasional use. Manufactured Home Districts providing service for recreational, as defined herein shall be charged as follows:
c. Base rate. The monthly base rate shall be calculated by multiplying the fee established in subsection (2) by the applicable American Water Works Association (AWWA) meter equivalency factor based on 3/4 that is corresponding to the size of the water meter serving the RV park.
d. A flow charge shall be billed at the rate established in subsection (2)(a).
Section 3. That Section 48-158(a)(4) and Section 48-418(3) of the City Code of the City of Harper, KS be and the same are hereby amended.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and publication in the official city newspaper.
