MINUTES OF BOCC REGULAR MEETING
The Board of Commissioners of Grant County, Oklahoma (BOCC) held a regular meeting on Monday,
May 11, 2026, at 9:00 am. Notice of the Meeting, including agenda, was posted at both entrances of the
Grant County Courthouse, Medford, OK, Friday, May 8, 2026, prior to 9:00 am. in accordance with Title
25, §301-314 o.s.
Stinson called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. After roll call, a quorum was acknowledged. Present
were Steve Stinson, Keith McClure, and Craig Fredrick. Also present were Rachelle Mccaleb as
Secretary and Penny Huff. Teleconferencing was enabled to comply with the Open Meetings Act.
Out of the commissioners Stinson, Fredrick and McClure used their signature stamps and hand signed as
well.
Penny Huff said a prayer and McClure led the flag salute.
McCaleb acknowledged the agenda was properly posted in compliance with the Open Meeting Act.
Fredrick moved to approve Transfer of Appropriations. McClure seconded. Stinson – aye; McClureaye;
Fredrick- aye; Motion carried.
McClure moved to approve Blanket Purchase Orders. Fredrick seconded. Stinson – aye; McClure –
aye; Fredrick- aye; Motion carried.
McClure moved to approve purchase orders and travel claims. Fredrick seconded. Stinson – aye;

Fredrick moved approve to re-sign Jupiter PSO Road Use Agreement. McClure seconded. Stinson –

McClure moved to approve Resolution 2026-46: Release of Easement in Grant County, Oklahoma.

Fredrick moved to approve 2026 SAFE Oklahoma Grant Program Contract – Sheriff’s Department.
Contract was signed 01.27.2026, approval needed for BOCC minutes. McClure seconded. McClure –
aye; Fredrick – aye; Motion carried.
McClure stated 01 – normal maintenance and hauling material.
Fredrick stated 02 – hauling rock and shale, trimming trees, and setting new tubes.
Stinson stated 03 – road maintenance and grading. Working on a project on Craig Road between Pond
Creek and Nash. Stinson will attend NODA meeting on Tuesday and training classes on Wednesday and
Thursday. Business as usual.
New Business: Sheriff’s department has submitted a contract for the ADA to review – providing contract
security services at the new battery farm going in at Grant County. The County Clerk is checking with
OSU CTP regarding Chart of Account information for the receipt of funds.
