MINUTES OF BOCC REGULARMEETING
The Board of Commissioners of Grant County, Oklahoma (BOCC) held a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 9:00 am. Notice of the Meeting, including agenda, was posted at both entrances of the Grant County Courthouse, Medford1 OK, Friday, September 4, 2026, prior to 9:00 am. in accordance with Title 25, §301-314 O.S.
Stinson called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. After roll call, a quorum was acknowledged. Present were Steve Stinson, Keith McClure, and Craig Fredrick. Also present were Rachelle Mccaleb as Secretary and Penny Huff. Teleconferencing was enabled to comply with the Open Meetings Act.
Out of the commissioners Stinson, Fredrick and McClure used their signature stamps and hand signed as well.
Stinson said a prayer and McClure led the flag salute.
Mccaleb acknowledged the agenda was properly posted in compliance with the Open Meeting Act.
No action on Fair Board request for improvements to Fairgrounds. Fair Board is getting quote information about renovations to the women’s building at the fairgrounds.

McClure moved to approve amendment to 50% Money Movement – FY 26-27. Fredrick seconded. Stinson – aye; McClure – aye; Fredrick – aye; Motion carried. Amendment to General Government Repairs Use Tax account – 50% was not moved in July. This increased the total 50% money movement from $2,458,884.38 to $2,609,926.69.
McClure moved to acknowledge Letter of Resignation – Rodney Goertz – 522 Ambulance Board . Fredrick seconded. Stinson – aye; McClure – aye; Fredrick – aye; Motion carried. McClure stated the 522 Ambulance Board will vote to accept resignation at the 10.06.2026 meeting and the BOCC will appoint a new 522 Board member at the 10.12.2026 meeting. The BOCC appreciates Rodney’s participation as a founding member of the 522 Ambulance Board. They have done a lot of research and accomplished more than anyone could have expected. The County has never had such good EMS service. The 522 Board’s dedication goes above and beyond. The BOCC thinks they are doing a find job and working hard, and the community owes them a big thank you.
McClure moved to approve the BOCC to table amending primary haul route on Road Use Agreement with Southern Power, pending ADA signature and payment negotiations. Fredrick seconded. Stinson – aye; McClure – aye; Fredrick – aye; Motion carried.
McClure stated 01- The District is mowing, hauling material, river sand and shale, and grading.
Fredrick stated 02 – The District is hauling shale two times a week, rock two times a week, and mowing. They are changing culverts from when rain washed them out.
Stinson stated 03 – The District has a project on Hwy 81 and Craig Road, west. Replacing culverts and shale. They will be hauling rock and shale and mowing. Stinson has a meeting Thursday at 11am with constituents regarding explanation on Red Hill Bridge information. District is also working on a plan for Grady Rd next week.
No new business.
