SCHS Volleyball Gets Season Underway

The South Central volleyball team played five matches in two days to open the 2026 season.

Last Saturday, the Lady Timberwolves traveled to Ingalls for a triangular. They lost to host Ingalls in a close three-game contest, 25-22, 21-25, 27-29.

After that, South Central played Meade and lost in two, 25-21, 25-18.

The Lady Timberwolves then hosted a quadrangular Tuesday night. They faced Kinsley in the first match and lost a close two-game contest, 26-24, 25-22.

South Central then faced Meade in a rematch and, this time, took the Lady Buffaloes to three games and made it a closer match, losing 22-25, 26-24, 21-25.

The Lady Timberwolves closed out the evening with a win over Satanta in two, 25-11, 25-12.

South Central (1-4) is scheduled to head to Attica Thursday to face the Lady Bulldogs and Belle Plaine. The Lady Timberwolves will then head to Ashland Tuesday, Sept. 8 to face the host team and Spearville.
