RESOLUTION# 2026-40
Grant County Road Restriction
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Oklahoma, is responsible for protecting county infrastructure and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of county roads; and
WHEREAS, current conditions including but not limited to weather impacts, road surface deterioration, construction activity, or: public safety concerns -require the temporary restriction of certain roads to prevent further damage and to safeguard the traveling public; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Title 47 and Title 69 of the Oklahoma Statutes and other applicable laws, the Board of County Commissioners is authorized to impose temporary road restrictions including weight limits, closures, detours, or other necessary measures; and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that implementing such restrictions is in the best interest of Grant County and its citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Oklahoma that:
1.The following road(s) shall be subject to temporary restriction:

Between County Road 1065 and Highway 81 Type of Restriction:
No thru traffic for Commercial Motor Vehicles
2. Effective Date:
This resolution shall take effect on April 13, 2026
3. Duration:
These restrictions shall remain in place until 04/13/2027, unless modified or rescinded by further action of the Board.
4. Posting & Notification:
The Grant County Commissioner for District 2, or their designee, is directed to post appropriate signage and provide notice to emergency services, affected landowners, and other relevant parties.
5. Enforcement:
Violations of this resolution may be subject to penalties as provided by law.
