RESOLUTION 2026-NO. R-12
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR ADOPTION OF SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEMS APPLICATION GUIDELINES AS AMENDMENT TO THE COUNTY ZONING REGULATIONS FOR KINGMAN COUNTY, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Kingman County, Kansas has adopted zoning regulations in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 12-753 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, the County is authorized to amend and supplement the zoning regulations for the county as provided by K.S.A. 12-757; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has prepared a proposed addendum, providing for Solar Energy Systems Application guidelines, to the zoning regulations for the county; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing thereon following due notice to the public as required by K.S.A. 12-757; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has provided to the Governing Body of Kingman County, Kansas, a certified copy of the proposed addendum to the zoning regulations for the county and a written summary of the hearing thereon together with their recommendation for adoption; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of Kingman County, Kansas, finds it advisable to adopt the proposed addendum to the zoning regulations for Kingman County, Kansas.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Kingman County, Kansas, that:
SECTION ONE:
The addendum, providing for Solar Energy Systems Application guidelines, to the zoning resolution for Kingman County, Kansas as recommended by the Planning Commission, meeting the conditions for adoption prescribed in K.S.A. 12-757 is hereby adopted and made part of the official zoning regulations for the zoning jurisdiction of the county.
SECTION TWO:
The revised Zoning Resolution, as amended and supplemented, shall continue to provide the basis for determination of zoning district regulations within the zoning jurisdiction of Kingman County, Kansas.
SECTION THREE:
This Resolution shall become effective from and after its passage, approval and publication one time in the official newspaper of the county.
Adopted this 13th day of April, 2026, by the Board of County Commissioners of Kingman County, Kansas.
