MINUTES OF BOCC REGULAR MEETING

The Board of Commissioners of Grant County, Oklahoma (BOCC) held a regular meeting on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 9:00 am. Notice of the Meeting, including agenda, was posted at both entrances of the Grant County Courthouse, Medford, OK, Friday June 6, 2025, prior to 9:00 am. in accordance with Title 25, §301-314 O.S.

Fredrick called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. After roll call, a quorum was acknowledged. Present were Craig Fredrick, Steve Stinson, and Keith McClure. Also present was Rachelle D. McCaleb. Penny Huff entered at 1O:18am. Teleconferencing was enabled to comply with the Open Meetings Act. Out of the commissioners Stinson, Fredrick, and McClure used their signature stamps and hand signed as well.

Stinson said a prayer and McClure led the flag salute.

McCaleb acknowledged the agenda was properly posted in compliance with the Open Meeting Act.

Penny Huff discussed property that has been acquired from previous re-sales. There are two properties (1.5 acre lots -E/2 of Lot 1 Blk 39 and Lot 3 Block 61)) in Pond Creek that have been being mowed and taken care of by Pond Creek. Pond Creek has inquired about purchasing or being given this property by the BOCC. One of these properties have access to Pond Creek’s water supply. After reviewing with the State Auditor’s Office, BOCC is able to deed property to municipalities. BOCC will surplus property and deed the property to City of Pond Creek.

McClure discussed D1 is working on culverts being washed out and shoulders washed away.

Stinson discussed D3 is hauling rock and putting up signs. Discussed removing trees on Trenton Road and waiting on things to dry out.

Fredrick discussed D2 assessing damage from rain, ordering tubes, and waiting to replace tubing. s.

No new business – will get quote from Cink Services to build up concrete at the end of the sidewalk in the front of courthouse where water pools.
