Construction on the new physical therapy department addition at Comanche County Hospital reached another milestone Monday as crews began pouring the concrete foundation for the project.
The concrete work is expected to take about an hour to complete. Once poured, the concrete will be allowed to cure for approximately one week before construction continues.
According to the project superintendent, crews are scheduled to begin installing steel next Monday, with exterior framing expected to begin Oct. 12. The roof is scheduled to arrive Oct. 14. The project is expected to be complete in February of next year.
The addition will expand the hospital’s physical therapy department and is part of ongoing improvements to the hospital campus.
