SUMMARY OF 

ORDINANCE NO. 2163

Ordinance No. 2163 amends Section 7-204 of the Code of the City of Kingman relating to open burning in the city. The ordinance establishes exceptions to the necessity of a burning permit as well as authorization for certain open burning operations with a burning permit.  The ordinance establishes the Fire Chief, or his/her designee, as the official authorized to approve burning permits and to place restrictions as needed on such burning permits.  Penalties for open burning without a permit and violations of burning permit restrictions are also set forth.  City law enforcement is authorized to issue citations for violations of this ordinance.
