PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given of a primary election to be held on August 4, 2026. Pursuant to the provision of K.S.A. 25-2311 A-3, notice is hereby given that at 5:00 pm on the 14th day of July, 2026, the books for registration of voters will close and will remain closed until the 5th day of August, 2026
Polls open at 7:00 am and close at 7:00 pm Polling places are located at:
Barber County Ambulance Building (in Kiowa)- Aetna, Elwood/Hardtner, Hazelton, Kiowa East, Kiowa West, and Moore.
Barber County Annex- Deerhead, Eagle, Elm Mills, Lake City, McAdoo, Medicine Lodge One, Medicine Lodge Two, Medicine Lodge Three, Medicine Lodge Four, Medicine Lodge Five, Mingona, Sharon, Sun City, Turkey Creek, and Valley/Isabel.
To Register to vote, you must be a citizen of the United States who is eighteen (18) years of age or older, or will have attained the age of eighteen (18) years at the next election, must register before he or she can vote.
The voter must register if:
1. The voter changes name by marriage, divorce or legal proceedings
2. The voter changes residence
Any person may apply in person or by mail at 120 E. Washington, Medicine Lodge, KS Such applications shall be signed by the applicant under penalty of perjury
