Lady Timberwolves Compete at League Tennis

The South Central girl’s tennis team attended the Southern Plains League tournament Monday at Kiowa County High School.

Fabiola Rivero played No. 1 singles. She beat St. John-Hudson’s Caisalyn Kohl 6-0, lost to Ashland’s Hayden Garden 6-3 and beat Kiowa County’s Addison Higbie 6-0.

Mia Napierala played No. 2 singles. She beat St. John-Hudson’s Charlotte Kellog 8-0, lost to Ellinwood’s Lauren Rogan 8-4 and beat Ashland’s Ellie Landis 8-3.

Max Miller and Nevaeh Pankrat played No. 1 doubles. They lost to St. John-Hudson’s Lilly McAlister and Avery Young 6-2, lost to Ellinwood’s Vivian Klepper 6-1, lost to Ashland’s Josie Boggs and Makenna Boggs 6-0 and lost to Kiowa County’s Kimberly Redecop and Melanie Sneed 6-1.

Bonnie Herd and Elsie Herd played No. 2 doubles. They lost to St. John-Hudson’s Zoey Carter and Briana Lopez 6-3, lost to Ellinwood’s Emalie Joiner and Eden Ringwald 6-0, lost to Ashland’s Audry Ivey and Elliana Ceniceros 6-2 and beat Kiowa County’s Evelynn Stokes and Gracie Howard 6-1.

The Lady Timberwolves will head to Conway Springs this Friday and Saturday for the Class 3-1A Regional tennis tournament.
