The Board of Commissioners of Grant County, Oklahoma (BOCC) held a special meeting on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 10:00 am. Notice of the Meeting, including agenda, was posted at both entrances of the Grant County Courthouse, Medford, OK, Thursday, March 26, 2026, prior to 10:00 am. in accordance with Title 25, §301-314 O.S.
Stinson called the meeting to order at 10:01 a.m. After roll call, a quorum was acknowledged. Present were Steve Stinson, Keith McClure, and Craig Fredrick. Also present were Rachelle Mccaleb as Secretary, Penny Huff, and Danielle Deterding. Teleconferencing was enabled to comply with the Open Meetings Act.
Steve Stinson said a prayer and McClure led the flag salute.
McCaleb acknowledged the agenda was properly posted in compliance with the Open Meeting Act.
At 10:04am McClure moved to skip to item (b). Fredrick seconded. Stinson – aye; McClure – aye; Fredrick – aye; Motion carried.
Correction to item (b) of agenda. Remove Resolution 2026-33 from agenda. These items were approved as Resolution 2026-19 on 02.23.2026.
Stinson moved to approve Resolution 2026-34: Disposal – 2023 Case Farmall Tractor (s/n ending: 42092) – (03). McClure seconded. Stinson – aye; McClure – aye; Fredrick – aye; Motion carried.
Stinson moved to approve Resolution 2026-35: Disposal – 2023 Case Farmall Tractor (s/n ending: 45756) – (03). McClure seconded. Stinson – aye; McClure – aye; Fredrick – aye; Motion carried.
Stinson moved to approve Resolution 2026-36: Disposal – Woods 15′ Batwing Mower (s/n ending: 40007) – (03). McClure seconded. Stinson – aye; McClure – aye; Fredrick – aye; Motion carried.
House District 38 Candidate, Danielle Deterding was born and raised in rural Oklahoma. She is a local leader and businesswoman. Danielle is currently working on her PhD in business and has been on her local school board for the last seven years. Mrs. Deterding is looking to strengthen our schools and improve infrastructure while supporting farms and families. Grant County Commissioners discussed with Danielle the importance of transportation funding for rural Oklahoma and ad valorem taxes for our schools and career techs. Commissioner Stinson regards Danielle as a good listener and someone who is not afraid to speak up. Danielle indicated she “may not have all the answers, but she is going to listen.” Grant County thanks her for her time with the Board and wishes her luck in the upcoming election.

McClure moved to table the approval for Kirkham, Michael and Associates, Inc. Road Use Agreement. Fredrick seconded. Stinson – aye; McClure – aye; Fredrick – aye; Motion carried.
