MINUTES OF BOCC REGULAR MEETING

The Board of Commissioners of Grant County, Oklahoma (BOCC) held a regular meeting on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 9:00 am. Notice of the Meeting, including agenda, was posted at both entrances of the Grant County Courthouse, Medford, OK, Friday, January 9, 2026, prior to 9:00 am. in accordance with Title 25, §301-314 O.S. 

Stinson called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. After roll call, a quorum was acknowledged. Present were Steve Stinson, Keith McClure, and Craig Fredrick. Also present were Rachelle McCaleb as Secretary and Penny Huff. Teleconferencing was enabled to comply with the Open Meetings Act. Out of the commissioners Stinson, Fredrick, and McClure used their signature stamps and hand signed as well. 

Stinson said a prayer and McClure led the flag salute. 

McCaleb acknowledged the agenda was properly posted in compliance with the Open Meeting Act. 

Fredrick moved to approve Transfer of Appropriations. McClure seconded. Stinson -aye; McClure – aye; Fredrick – aye; Motion carried. 

Fredrick moved to approve Blanket Purchase Orders. McClure seconded. Stinson -aye; McClure- aye; Fredrick -aye; Motion carried.

No action taken on Notice to Bidder -Bid #01-2026 -FY26-27 Ambulance Service Contractor -522 Ambulance District. BOCC is not a part of the bidding process for the 522 Ambulance Service, therefore no approval is needed from Board of County Commissioners. Bid Packets will be available in the County Clerk’s Office to pick up assist the 522 Ambulance Board and County Clerk’s office will submit information for publication on behalf of the 522 Ambulance Board. 

Fredrick stated D2 – has a grader down. They are spotting in shale and rock, grading as normal. He will attend the Sheriffs/ Commissioner’s training on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. 

McClure stated D1 – they are having water problems at the barn. They are 100% done with mowing and are now working on signs. Grading, hauling rock and shale. 

Stinson stated D3 – hauling rock. Installing culvert at low water crossing on Trenton today. Working on rock projects on Trenton and Ellis roads. Cleaning ditches. D3 is losing 1 employee and training a new employee. Stinson will also attend the Sheriffs/ Commissioner’s training on Wednesday and Thursday this week. 

No new business to discuss.
