ORDINANCE NO. 2146 SUMMARY

On September 11, 2025, the City of Kingman, Kansas, adopted Ordinance No. 2146 amending Section 8-207 of the Code of the City of Kingman relating to penalties for failure to comply with nuisance abatement orders; the ordinance authorizes prosecution in municipal court after notice, sets a maximum penalty of a $1,000 fine and/or 179 days in jail, establishes mandatory minimum jail, fine, and probation requirements for repeat offenders within five years, clarifies that each day a violation continues is a separate offense, repeals the existing section, and takes effect upon publication.
