MINUTES OF BOCC REGULAR MEETING
The Board of Commissioners of Grant County, Oklahoma (BOCC) held a special meeting on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 9:00 am. Notice of the Meeting, including agenda, was posted at both entrances of the Grant County Courthouse, Medford, OK, Friday August 15, 2025, prior to 9:00 am. in accordance with Title 25, §301-314 O.S.
Fredrick called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. After roll call, a quorum was acknowledged. Present were Craig Fredrick, Steve Stinson, and Keith McClure. Also present was Rachelle D. Mccaleb, Keith Siragusa and Penny Huff entered at 9:02 a.m. Teleconferencing was enabled to comply with the Open Meetings Act. Out of the commissioners Stinson, Fredrick, and McClure used their signature stamps and hand signed as well.
Stinson said a prayer and McClure led the flag salute.
McCaleb acknowledged the agenda was properly posted in compliance with the Open Meeting Act.
McClure moved to approve Transfer of Appropriations. Stinson seconded. Fredrick – aye; Stinson – aye; McClure – aye; Motion carried.
Stinson moved to go to Item (f) at 9:03 am. Fredrick seconded. Fredrick – aye; Stinson – aye; McClure – aye; Motion carried.
McClure moved to approve minutes from 08.11.2025 BOCC Regular Meeting. Stinson seconded. Fredrick – aye; Stinson – aye; McClure – aye; Motion carried.

Discussion regarding Grant County Firearm Policy. County Clerk and Sheriffs Office will review other County Policies and Handbook updates.
Stinson moved to approve payment of back taxes to Oklahoma Tax Commission as follows:
• March, 2024 = $4487.34
• June, 2024 = $13,650.47
Total amount to be paid= $18,137.81

McCaleb discussed Church Inspection came back with “No Friable” asbestos. DEQ has advised once Demolition paperwork is submitted and approved, the County can move forward with uernoiition process.
Discussion of NW District CODA Conference – Commissioner Stinson will visit with Yellowhouse and Railroad Yard to confirm purchasing and preparing food for conference. Mccaleb mailed vendor letters August 13th. Some responses have been received for sponsorships and/or door prizes.
Courthouse will be closed to the public on conference day. Discussion was had on scheduling an Officer’s meeting next week to decide on whether to do all activities at the Expo Building or some at Courthouse.
New business: Keith Siragusa discussed there was a hydraulic oil spill on Hwy 11 and CR 880 this morning. There was a lot of traffic this morning that spread the oil. The State Trooper will determine where the spill originated and if DEQ needs to be notified.
McClure discussed that 01 is applying for a REAP Grant through NODA. If approved, the money could be used to help fix the elevator. Since this is an ADA issue, it may move the application process up quicker.
