MINUTES OF BOCC REGULAR MEETING
The Board of Commissioners of Grant County, Oklahoma (BOCC) held a regular meeting on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 9:00 am. Notice of the Meeting, including agenda, was posted at both entrances of the Grant County Courthouse, Medford, OK, Friday May 2, 2025, prior to 9:00 am. in accordance with Title 25, §301-314 O.S.
Fredrick called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. After roll call, a quorum was acknowledged. Present were Craig Fredrick, Steve Stinson, and Keith McClure. Also present was Rachelle D. McCaleb as Secretary and Penny Huff entered at 9:02am. Teleconferencing was enabled to comply with the Open Meetings Act. Out of the commissioners Stinson, Fredrick, and McClure used their signature stamps and hand signed as well.
Stinson said a prayer and McClure led the flag salute.
McCaleb acknowledged the agenda was properly posted in compliance with the Open Meeting Act. No comments from the public.

Fredrick discussed Slater Mechanical and repairs for courthouse and jailhouse to be done. Also, to encumber the funds for the new A/C unit for deputy’s office.

Stinson moved to acknowledge Bid #2025-07 – Medford Fire Department – Custom Brush Rig Bed/ Accessories. McClure seconded. Fredrick – aye; Stinson – aye; McClure – aye; Motion carried.

No action taken on design and pricing for county vehicle logos.

NW District CODA conference, to be held at Grant County, date has been set for October 10, 2025. Representative John Pfeiffer will speak. Additional information to come as plans are made.

McCaleb will ask Assistant District Attorney to review UniFirst Contract.
McClure discussed that R.D. Lawrence is in OKC to receive the Oklahoma Cross of Valor. He is a WWII Veteran. District 1 attended Autry Tech classes on Wednesday on locating pipeline and calling in locates. Friday Osage Road and County Line will be closed to repair a washout spot.
They are patching up a washout spot on Logan and CR 900-910.
Stinson discussed several Legislative Bills that are moving through the process. District 3 is working on S Trenton and County Road 860 where there is a washout and hauling shale.
Fredrick discussed District 2 is working on old culverts that have been washed out. On Friday they will haul steel to the new bridge location at Johnston and County Road 1020.
No new business to discuss.
