OBITUARY: Lynne Alice Stutz

On Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, Lynne Alice Stutz, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 59 in her home in Kingman, with family and friends by her side.

Lynne was born Oct. 21, 1961, in Englewood, Colo., to her parents Clarence and Evelyn Hein. Lynne attended college at the University of Northern Colorado in music (vocal performance). Lynne met her husband, Bill, September of 1988, at a Christian singles retreat, at Camp Como in Colorado. Both she and Bill had been invited by friends. They were married May 4, 1991, and after Lynne moved to Cheyenne Wells, Colo., they raised two daughters, Olivia and Brenna.

Lynne joyfully worked as a librarian for 20 years at the Cheyenne Wells Library. After 28 years of living in Cheyenne Wells, they moved to Kingman in July 2019. Lynne enjoyed spending time in the Word and teaching Bible study. She was very passionate about Christ, as well as sharing her love of Christ with others. She also enjoyed reading, listening to music, singing, watching movies, playing board games and card games with family and friends, and Bible journaling. She was best known for her warm smile, great hugs, infectious laugh, happy spirit, meaningful conversations, and beautiful singing voice.

Lynne was preceded in death by her father, Clarence, her mother, Evelyn, and brother Alan. She is survived by her two sisters Anita and Beth (Denver), her husband Bill (Kingman), her oldest daughter Olivia and her husband Edwyn (McPherson KS), her two grandsons EJ and Alejandro, and her youngest daughter, Brenna (Pratt).

Two memorial services will be held: the first in Kingman at the Covenant Assembly of God Church (400 Coronado St, Kingman) Saturday, Sept. 25, at 10:30 a.m.

The second in Cheyenne Wells at the Cheyenne County Fair Grounds (W 6th St S, Cheyenne Wells, CO, 80810), Saturday, Oct. 2, at 10:30 a.m.

The family welcomes flowers to be delivered to either service. The family will also be collecting donations to be given to the East Cheyenne County Library District in memory of Lynne Stutz.
