Norwich Girls Pull Away in Second Quarter

The Norwich girl’s basketball team beat Stafford at home Friday night 55-24.

There wasn’t much scoring in the first quarter, with the Lady Eagles leading 7-4. But Norwich broke the game open in the second quarter, outscoring Stafford 23-10 and hitting four three-pointers.

Brittany Gosch led the Lady Eagles (10-1) with 13 points, Avery Rosenhagen and Kira Kelly each scored 8, Raina Bates and Anna Kyle each scored 6, Kenna Hibbs and Leah Durr each scored 4, and Kaitlyn Scott-Welch, Tori Poe and Hailey Rhodes each scored 2.

Norwich opens the Route 54 Classic Monday at Cunningham against Pratt Skyline.
