Lady Eagles Take Two From Medicine Lodge

The Kingman softball team swept both games of a doubleheader at Medicine Lodge Tuesday.

The Lady Eagles won the first game 10-1. After taking an early 2-0 lead, the Lady Eagles scored four runs in the fourth inning, then added two more each in the sixth and seventh innings.

Kingman had 19 hits in the game. Bailey Taylor, Macey Maloney and Alex Schreiner each had four hits. Carlie Kelley had four runs batted in and Schreiner and Aly Hageman each had two RBIs.

Kelley held Medicine Lodge to seven hits in seven innings and struck out five.

The Lady Eagles (11-1) won the second game 5-4. Kingman took a 5-1 lead after two innings, then Medicine Lodge closed the gap to one run in the fourth. But the Lady Eagles held on for the win.

Carlie Kelley had three hits and three RBIs and Brianne Garrison had two hits. Kingman had 11 hits for the game.

Janelle Belt gave up 13 hits over seven innings and struck out four.
