Greece: Talks Will Settle Last Details for Deal

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — A Greek government official expects talks with creditors in Brussels on Wednesday to “sort out the last pending issues for the agreement” on more aid.

Speaking on customary condition of anonymity, he said the meeting was delayed because the Greek negotiators’ plane was diverted to Dusseldorf, Germany, due to air traffic control problems at Brussels airport.

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is meeting cabinet officials ahead of the talks in Brussels, with time running out for a deal that will prevent the country from missing a debt repayment next week.

Greece’s radical left-led government insists it can soon achieve a reform-for-cash deal that has proved elusive since its election in late January. That will allow Greece to pay some 300 billion euros to the International Monetary Fund on June 5.
