ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID
The City of Attica is accepting bids for the demolition and removal of two structures, foundations, and all other concrete on lot located at, 221 North Garfield, Attica, Kansas 67009. Bid information is available at the City Building, 127 North Main Street, Attica, Kansas, 67009.
Bids will be received at the City Building until January 31st, 2026. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on February 4th, 2026 at Attica City Hall at 5:pm at the regularly scheduled council meeting.
Bids are to be enclosed in a sealed envelope and marked plainly on the outside “Building/Residential Demolition Bid”. If mailed, the sealed envelope is to be enclosed in another sealed envelope also marked plainly on the outside as previously designated.
Bids are to be submitted with a price for the demolition and removal of the structure, foundation, and all other concrete on lot except for City sidewalks. The City reserves the right to accept the bid based upon the best total bid per structure or for all structures combined.
The City of Attica reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities should they occur as may best benefit the City.
Proof of Liability Insurance and Worker’s Compensation Insurance shall be furnished with the bid – no exceptions. Liability Insurance shall require a minimum of $1,000,000.00.
The City reserves the right to make any investigation deemed necessary by the City to determine the ability of the bidder to do the project. Bidders shall furnish to the City such information as requested to determine the bidder’s qualifications. The City further reserves the right to reject any bid if the City deems the bidder not properly qualified to complete the project. The City reserves the right to refuse all bids.
Bids shall be guaranteed for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. A $100 per day penalty will be assessed after thirty (30) days.
