MINUTES OF BOCC SPECIAL MEETING

The Board of Commissioners of Grant County! Oklahoma (BOCC) held a special meeting on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 9:00 am. Notice of the Meeting! including agenda, was posted at both entrances of the Grant County Courthouse, MedfordI OKI Thursday July 3, 2025, prior to 9:00 am. in accordance with Title 25, §301-314 O.S.

Fredrick called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. After roll call, a quorum was acknowledged. Present were Craig Fredrick, Steve Stinson, and Keith McClure. Also present was Rachelle D. McCaleb, Penny Huff and Lacy Reimer. Teleconferencing was enabled to comply with the Open Meetings Act. Out of the commissioners Stinson, Fredrick, and McClure used their signature stamps and hand signed as well.

Stinson said a prayer and McClure led the flag salute.

McCaleb acknowledged the agenda was properly posted in compliance with the Open Meeting Act.

At 9:02 a.m. Stinson moved to go to item (e). McClure seconded. Fredrick – aye; Stinson – aye; McClure – aye; Motion carried.

Lacy Reimer discussed the Fair Board met and are discussing the following items regarding the Fairgrounds Expo Building:

Would like to put in a breezeway(covered walkway) between the Expo Building and the Women’s Building.

Would like to turn the women’s building into room for livestock.

Replacing A/C units.

Remove all trees in front or trim the trees.

She is keeping the BOCC informed of their ideas. Would like to take care of the trees first and then move onto the building and breezeway. She will check on their account availability.

Stinson moved to approve 2025-149 – New account within the Ambulance Service – Medford Ambulance Account – Part-Time Salaries. McClure seconded. Fredrick – aye; Stinson – aye; McClure – aye; Motion carried.

McClure moved to approve 2025-150 – Surplus of (2) Frigidaire Gas Stoves – Sheriffs Office. Stinson seconded. Fredrick – aye; Stinson – aye; McClure – aye; Motion carried.

Stinson moved to approve the following Disposals as noted:

2025-151 – Disposing of Frigidaire Gas Stove – Inventory ID: B-605.2 – Sheriffs Office

2025-152 – Disposing of Frigidaire Gas Stove – Inventory ID: B-605.1 – Sheriffs Office.

No action taken on discussion of 50% money movement of budget from FY 24-25 to FY 25-26.

No action taken on discussion of fire safety drills and courthouse fire escape. No action taken on discussion of TKE Elevator Survey.

McClure discussed District 1 is doing normal maintenance and hauling rock.

Stinson discussed District 3 is hauling rock and shale. They are working on roads and completed some mowing last week. They have hired a new employee today. Business as usual.

Fredrick discussed District 2 is cleaning up roads and clearing culverts out. Getting ready to concrete bridge project on Johnston Road.

New business – McCaleb discussed offices will meet to discuss FY 2025-2026 Estimate of Needs on 07.08.2025. Officials will meet with BOCC 07.14.2025@ 11:00am.
